Dr.-Ing. Michael Lütjen

BIBA – Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics

Michael Lütjen studied industrial engineering at Wilhelmshaven University of Applied Sciences, specializing in “Simulation and Optimization in Production,” and subsequently completed a degree program in “Production Engineering” with a focus on “Industrial Engineering” at the University of Bremen. Since 2005, Mr. Lütjen has worked as a research assistant at the Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics (BIBA) at the University of Bremen in the Intelligent Production and Logistics Systems (IPS) research group. From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Lütjen also worked part-time as a production planner at CTC GmbH in Stade, focusing on integrated product and process development. In 2014, Mr. Lütjen earned his Ph.D. from the University of Bremen on the topic “Modeling Concept for the Integrated Planning and Simulation of Production Scenarios Developed Using the Example of CFRP Series Production.” Currently, Mr. Lütjen heads the “Data Analytics and Process Optimization” department and is particularly dedicated to promoting innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises.
