Research at the science hub of Bremen: Rethinking logistics
Logistics research in Bremen thrives on synergies. Our basic idea is to combine the specific problem-solving skills of different disciplines. When experts from the fields of technology, computer science, and economics work together on logistics tasks, real progress is made that goes beyond traditional approaches.
Interdisciplinary research network for practical application
Our work focuses on supply chain research with direct relevance to business practice. As a central research network, we strengthen cooperation between science and industry in the Logistics Cluster Northern Germany.
What is particularly important to us:
- Technology transfer: We facilitate access to scientific innovations, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
- Dialogue on equal terms: Through close exchange, we deepen mutual understanding of complex challenges in logistics.
- Internationalization: Since logistics knows no boundaries, LogDynamics maintains a global network of research and business partners.
Research projects: From fundamentals to SmartPort
The cross-disciplinary nature of our work is reflected in a wide range of projects. We combine business management expertise with state-of-the-art information technology and production technology.
Our research focuses include the digital transformation of maritime systems and the development of SmartPort concepts for the port of the future.
Diverse project funding
LogDynamics is actively involved in acquiring a wide variety of research funding, such as:
- EU collaborations: Participation in EU-funded projects.
- Federal and state funding: Funding through national programs to strengthen research in Bremen.
- Basic research: DFG-funded projects for scientific excellence.
- Industrial contracts: Direct research and development contracts from companies.
