10 Years of the CAMPUS Award: Sustainable Initiatives from the Academic Community

For the 10th time, the “CAMPUS AWARD: Research for a Sustainable Future” is honoring master’s and doctoral theses. In this anniversary year, two awards will be presented. In her dissertation, Shadi Attarha explores sustainable smart agriculture. Lana Draghinazzi’s master’s thesis focuses on algae-based lubricants. The awards, totaling 3,000 euros, were presented on May 21 at the University of Bremen.

In her doctoral dissertation, supervised by LogDynamics member Prof. Dr. Anna Förster, Shadi Attarha investigates how errors in smart agriculture sensors can be detected early to avoid measurement problems. In doing so, the electrical engineer is making an important contribution to sustainability, as technical devices can be used longer and provide more precise information for farmers.
