Digital Technologies in Logistics - Creating Transparency Throughout the Supply Chain
How can companies track the location and condition of their shipments? Our new online course, “Digital Technologies in Logistics,” shows you how to track logistics items throughout transportation and warehousing processes.
In this course, you will learn:
- how to identify and locate goods using barcodes, RFID, satellite, and indoor tracking,
- how to use IoT sensors to monitor their condition during transport,
- which interfaces and software systems are required for an end-to-end data chain,
- how to use artificial intelligence to generate estimated time of arrival (ETA) forecasts and detect deviations early on.
This free online course is offered in cooperation with the Mittelstand-Digital Centers in Bremen-Oldenburg and Kaiserslautern and is aimed at specialists and managers in logistics, supply chain management, and IT, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises. No prior knowledge of information technology is required. The course takes approximately 120 minutes to complete and includes a certificate of participation. To participate, participants must be registered on the LEA learning platform.
