Bremen Day at SMM 2026: Distinguished guests at our booth!
At SMM—the world’s leading trade fair for the maritime industry, held September 1–4 in Hamburg—the State of Bremen’s joint booth was dedicated to fostering an in-depth exchange about the future of our region. On September 2, we were delighted to welcome a distinguished guest—as part of “Bremen Day,” we had the honor of welcoming Kristina Vogt, Senator for Economic Affairs, Ports, and Transformation, along with her distinguished entourage, to our booth.
In a joint dialogue with BIBA—the Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics—and ISL—the Institute for Maritime Economics and Logistics—we were able to demonstrate how practical research from Bremen and Bremerhaven is driving the maritime energy transition and digital transformation—from AI-controlled port handling and autonomous processes at automotive terminals to intelligent assistance systems for ships.
